18" Antique German made Bisque doll Head with wooden body

This is a beautiful antique doll made in Germany.  It is labeled on the back of the neck EHKII short for Ernst Heubach made in Koppelsdorf, Thuringa Germany.  Her face is perfect, no cracks or fading.  Her eyes open and close and are a beautiful blue.  Her mouth is slightly open with 4 tiny teeth.  Her body is wooden and jointed at the elbows, Knees and hips.  She is firmly strung and can bend her knees but not easily when she sits.  I don't think her outfit and shoes are original but the dress is adorable, it has very delicate embroidery . It appears to be made just for her.  The Blonde Mohair wig is new and fits her perfectly.  Her shoes are leather and her stockings look either antique or vintage.  Her body in very different than what I have seen before.  It is wooden and not composition.  It looks like it was solid wood and drilled out to string her together, then painted. You can see the grain of the wood and the workmanship is amazing.   That is what I love about these vintage and antique dolls! The details and the quality that of materials that they used.  I googled Ernst Heubach and enjoyed reading his story and you may too!
