This rare Shirley Temple doll from Danbury Mint Dolls of the Silver Screen series depicts the character Priscilla “Winkie” Williams from Shirley Temple’s favorite movie she ever made, 1937 Fox Film Corporation movie “Wee Willie Winkie.” The doll comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and features the signature corkscrew blonde ringlets, blue eyes that open and close, and removable clothes, with stand. It is a fragile collector toy best suited for ages 13 years and up. In its original packaging, unopened, the doll wears the period uniform of the Black Watch, Third Battalion of the Royal Regiment of Scotland, central to the movie’s beloved theme of a child learning the proper discipline of a Scottish soldier. Complete with tunic, belt, leggings, button spats and unopened tam. This is a must-have for any lover of Shirley Temple or fine porcelain dolls collector.
