15” Lenci LUCIA Felt Doll, 1920-1930s, 2 Tags, Original & Mint As Can

This antique Lenci Child Doll is beautiful and is of excellent quality. She wears her original dress and undergarments, complete with two tags. Her hair style is beautiful! The head turns from side to side. The legs turn at the thigh joint. The arms move at the shoulders. She is in as mint condition as you can find for a Lenci! If you collect mint Lenci dolls, don’t miss out on this one! She has been lovingly cherished and preserved for almost a decade. I cannot find any holes on the doll. There is a slight hole on the bottom of each shoe and there may be a slight one at the top of the hat (see photos). Description: Antique 15” Italian LENCI “LUCIA” Felt Child Doll with pressed felt head with beautifully painted facial features including painted side-glancing eyes and dot accents on the lower lips. Her facial painting is very fine and beautiful and the condition of the head is as excellent as I have ever owned for a Lenci. Her hair is beautiful mohair and styled in a braid at each side of her head—I am certain this is the original hair style. Her head, arms, and legs are made of felt; her torso is made of muslin. Her arms move at the shoulder and she has stitched fingers with the third and fourth fingers joined. Her legs are jointed and turn at the thigh joint. She wears her beautiful original Lenci costume complete with two Lenci tags as seen in the photographs. Her dress is the cutest with vibrant yellow and green stripes. She wears her original underskirt, undergarment, knit stockings, and felt shoes. She wears a beautifully coordinated hat with flower applique. The flower is great and features white petals with little circular dots at the center of yellow layered over gray felt. I cannot find any holes on the doll. There is a slight hole on the bottom of each shoe and there may be a very slight one at the top center of the hat. We are selling her exactly as photographed. Her costume has nice vibrant color. As far as condition and originality, this is the among the nicest Lenci dolls that we have ever owned. She appears to have been extremely well cared for over the years. She comes from a pet-free and smoke-free home. Circa: 1920’s to early 1930’s. Marks on original cloth tag: “ Lenci MADE IN ITALY” Marks on original paper tag: “ Bambola Italia Lenci TORINO Made in Italy Lucia 31 ” Condition: The doll is in overall mint or near mint condition and is selling exactly as photographed.
