ANTIQUE 24" BLONDE CHINA HEAD DOLL HERTWIG - BUTLER BROS TURNED HEAD

Victorian era "Pet Name" German china head doll, made by Hertwig for Butler Bros. Circa 1890 - 1900. Very pretty blonde blue-eyed lady doll with the slightly turned head. Back of her shoulder is marked PATENT APP'D FOR, GERMANY. Her cloth body is in very good condition as are her china arms and legs. Her "Pet Name" is Ethel highlighted in gold on the front, the gold is slightly worn. Ethel measures 24" tall and 7" wide. Her clothing is very appropriate, well made and older, possibly original. Skirt button is a china button, I believe lace is older machine made and the blue skirt and top are vintage fabric. I've never taken her one piece undergarment off as it's a tight fit. You can see the cloth body through the undergarment and can see it's in very good condition. Christmas A terrific addition to your collection or gift for that someone special. We do our best to keep the charges down and do not pass on the charges for our purchased shipping supplies and we do pay the insurance. I pack very well and often double box. I like to use Priority Mail as the delivery time and tracking is more reliable. If you have received a glass item please do remember that glass can be quite fragile. If your package has been sitting outside in very low temperatures please do bring indoors as soon as possible but do let it warm up to room temperature before opening. Cold glass easily cracks so it's not a good idea to put it next to a heater or handle it until it has warmed up. With the high temperatures we've been having I think the reverse might apply. It would be a good practice to let your package cool off a bit before opening.
