Antique real Johnny Gruelle Rare Raggedy Ann Doll Excellent Vintage Condition. Made in approximately 1920 to 1925 actual year is unknown. This is not a Knickerbocker Raggedy Ann doll. John Gruelle received his patent on September 7, 1915. John Gruelle was born (1880 and died in 1938.) Raggedy Ann is a character created by writer Johnny Gruelle .Raggedy Ann appeared in a series of books he wrote and illustrated for young children. Raggedy Ann is a rag doll. This Raggedy Ann doll has a Maroon red wool hair color. This doll is very clean and in excellent vintage condition. Her rag hair is a little out of place in the back of her head. The doll is wearing a pink dress with a white lace collar. The doll has black button eyes a red triangle nose with black stitching. Raggedy Ann doll has black stitching eyebrows. This Raggedy Ann doll is wearing white bloomer pants. She also has blue stripes on her cloth legs. This doll has a red stitched heart on her chest with the wording I Love You.
