Offered for sale is this pair of antique Grodnertal, or wooden peg dolls. They date from 1840. They have full wooden bodies, their arms bend at the elbows, their arms and legs move and they have red painted shoes. As sisters they each wear their original clothing, which includes a slip under their little black dresses with lace at the sleeves. Each with a different color ribbon tied at the waist. They have beautiful faces with tiny blushed cheeks. They measure 2.5" tall. They are in very good condition. No breaks, cracks or paint damage. Note, the last photo that shows the back of their heads is glare not damage. Because of their age, condition and size, these types of dolls are rarely seen for sale. They were made as sisters and have always been together, I am selling them as a set. I am a long time antique Grodnertal doll collector. I have been collecting for over thirty years. Buy with confidence. Sorry, US buyers only. Please, message me with any questions. Thank you.
