BRUCKNER, 1901 Antique cloth, Americana black TOPSY-TURVY & EVA doll

From an extensive private collection... is this ONE, wonderful original, two-in-one, "topsy-turvy" ( "TOPSY & EVA" ) black and white, AMERICANA cloth doll, circa 1901, shown in first 4 photos. This is an extremely fine example of this charming double-doll. They are 12 1/2" tall, all cloth, signed on the shoulder under their clothing : Patented July 9th 1901   (by Bruckner, N.J.) and shown in the 9th Blue Book, p. 108. They have perfectly printed and molded features with printed blond hair on the white child and black hair on the black child. They wear all their originally (red trimmed) printed plaid clothing, matching sewn-on bonnet & red bandanna , (respectively) as well as the original trimmed white apron. Both have sweet expressions and movable arms with mitt-type hands and separate thumbs. The skirt can be flipped to cover the opposite doll. This exceptional doll still retains all of her charm. (loc  ) They are in very good (near mint) condition with no rips or stains, no fading or repairs.  It looks as if they were never played with and always kept in a collection. They have no stains, no fading, no tears or repairs and no odors and are from a smoke free home.
