Charlie McCarthy Ventriloquist Doll *Moving mouth works!

Edgar Bergen's famous Charlie McCarthy! These 19 inch pint-sized ventriloquist dolls were made by the Effanbee doll company back in 1938. They are highly detailed and by far the best likeness of Charlie McCarthy. These were high-end dolls back in the day made from composition with beautifully hand painted detail. This Charlie has a few worn spots and scratches, but has been cleaned and retouched, and he looks great! His moving mouth has been repaired using a metal spring and it works great! Charlies original costume has been professionally cleaned and has a replacement bow tie that was painted white. He also wears a nice new reproduction top hat! He is missing his paper collar, but he still looks great! His cloth body had some rips, but it was patched with cloth tape. This little guy is a rare example, and he's full of charm!
