When I had gotten him, he was wearing a wig.  I took it off but have kept the wig.  I feel he looks much more handsome without the wig.  I didn't style the wig, but it is long enough that it could be styled.
See photos.  His mouth works.  You just need to pull down the string from the back to make it work once your hand is in his back with the control stick.  You can see the "hole" in the back of his jacket so that your hand can easily fit it into his back and hold the lever.
His head is a bit glossy in the back from the gummy residue of the wig.
