Stamped Pleasant Company, this white body Kirsten is an early doll, and is in pristine unrestored condition. She was adult collector owned and has never been played with. Owner is positive she purchased Kirsten when she first came out in 1986, and has vivid memories of that year. She has many Kirsten items from '86, but I can't confirm that this doll is definitely 1986. She appears to be late 1987 or early 1988, but hopefully the experts out there can determine her year. Kirsten has beautiful bubble gum cheeks - so sweet! Her original braids are still there - but the elastics had disintegrated so elastics had to be replaced and retied. Her hair is so silky soft....not dried out at all. Please check eyes carefully, as there may be signs of silver eye. She still has her long flat strings. Kirsten has squeezable vinyl, soft eyelashes (all intact), and beautiful facial coloring. She can easily hold a pose, and eyes function as they should. Her body is very clean and there are no odors. She is wearing her meet outfit - dress (paper tag is UPSIDE DOWN and reads "Made in West Germany for Pleasant Company 1986"), woven blue hair ribbons, striped apron, pantalettes (still white and crisp, but have lost their elasticity), striped socks and brown boots. Kirsten also comes with her accessories - heavier weight cotton (first version), spoon bag, wooden spoon, handkerchief, and hard to find heart necklace. Kirsten comes with her wrist tag ("Dolls Made in West Germany..."), and Meet Kirsten paperback book, which is a first edition in excellent condition. Her box has lots of shelf wear. This is a truly beautiful original Kirsten that is in wonderful condition. Will ship in flat box with insurance. Will be happy to combine shipping costs if more than one item is purchased.
