This is a pair of Buckets which were very fashionable in Georgian England. These are artisan made dolls house miniatures, signed on the base by Michael Walton of the USA. They are stunning examples of top quality miniatures. The attention to detail is sublime with tiny rivets. The handles move. Made from Mahogany with brass fittings. The peat bucket, along with its counterpart the plate bucket, comes from
Ireland originally and were designed to sit by the fireplace. The peat
bucket held peat or wood to create fires while the plate
bucket (the one with the slot) would warm plates by the fire before being taken to the dining room. Each bucket (Excl. Handle.) H4.8cm Doll is not included. This is a 12th scale (1" scale) collector’s item and not suitable for persons under the age of 14 years. 1:12 th scale miniature item Note to Buyers outside the UK – Please Note: Import duties, State or Country taxes and / or customs charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost.
