"Samantha", a 15" porcelain doll by artist Cindy M. McClure under the hallmark of Edwin M. Knowles China Company, in a limited edition that closed on December 31, 1992. "Samantha" is an original issue in the "Cindy's Playhouse Pals" collection of contemporary child dolls. Her head, hands, and feet are made of porcelain, and she has a soft body.  Her individually modeled fingers can grip her bat (not included); tiny, sculpted lines in her knuckles make it look as though she's holding it tightly.  "Samantha" is a beautiful little girl with delicate features, but she is a spunky little tomboy who is quite the little athlete. She loves to play outdoors. Her cheeks, nose, and hands appear sun-blushed and are covered with freckles. Sam wears her striking, red hair in two neat braids tied with white satiny ribbons. She is wearing a two-piece mint green and peach warm-up suit that features knit cuffs and ribbed detailing. She is also wearing white socks and leather-like hightops.  Samantha's head turns for different poses.
