This handsome portrait doll is authentically dressed as Rhett Butler was in the library scene at Twelve Oaks Plantation, in which he first saw the tempestuous Scarlett.
Costumed in a navy blue frock coat and grey trousers with a fine jacquard neck scarf and waistcoat, the doll brings to life the dashing leading man in the role that made him famous.
The doll even has the devilish smile that gave the fictional character the appeal that made Gone With the Wind a favourite with generations of movie goers.
The doll was created in 1986 and stands 20" tall. This Franklin Mint Heirloom Doll is a must-have for any collector of Gone with the Wind memorabilia. The 20-inch porcelain and bisque doll depicts the beloved character of Rhett Butler, played by Clark Gable, with painted on black hair and grey eyes. The doll is in its original packaging, which has been opened but is in excellent condition.
The set includes only the Rhett Butler doll and was manufactured in 1986 in the United States. This vintage doll is part of the Franklin Mint's Gone with the Wind product line and is a beautiful addition to any collection.
