Sweet Baby Doll by Madame Hendren, circa 1926. Between 15 - 16" long. Cloth body with composition turning head, arms and legs, all jointed. Molded blond hair, blue tin sleep eyes with thick brush eyelashes, smiling open mouth with two upper teeth, solid tongue and deep dimples. Can be posed to "suck thumb". Marked Madame Hendren Doll. See full description for more information. *Georgene Averill Madame Hendren Baby Antique Compo, Cloth Bent Limb VTG 1926 Description Sweet Baby Doll by Madame Hendren, circa 1926.  16" in length, Cloth body with composition head, arms and legs, all jointed.  Molded blond hair, blue tin sleep eyes with thick brush eyelashes, smiling open mouth with two upper teeth, solid tongue and deep dimples.  Can be posed to "suck thumb".  Marked on back of neck Madame Hendren Doll. Made during the time the Effanbee doll "Bubbles" and the Horsman doll "Dimples" were so popular.  In pretty remarkable condition for the age.  The body is solid, with no tears or splits;  some age spots.  Sleep eyes work nicely, tongue and teeth intact.  No broken fingers or toes.  Paint has discolored in some areas on the legs, and is somewhat worn on back of head.  Minor crazing. Please supersize pictures and examine carefully for condition.  (Cry box, no longer works.) Wearing antique gown, Sweater, and newer bonnet and booties.
