Grace Kelley was an American actress in the 1950's and had the fairytale love story and became Princess of Monaco.
Produced by Mattel in 2011 this Grace Kelly celebrity doll "To Catch A Thief" comes from the Barbie Pink Label line, MPN T7903. She was designed by Robert Best, probably the "best" in the doll business and features a stylish, beautiful and ageless Grace Kelly head, sculpted in the actress's likeness, painted facial features, with the sultry ModelMuse body. The arms and legs are stiff but the legs are angled in such a way that you can cross them. The boxed set includes her multi-layered, multi-colored blue chiffon gown, matching clutch purse, scarf and high heels, and stand. She has a Certificate of Authenticity in her box.
Grace Kelly played the role of Frances Stevens in the 1955 Alfred Hitchcock movie "To Catch a Thief", a thrilling tale of romance and intrigue. She was stunning in her blue flowing gown inspired by the opening scene of the movie, set in the French Riviera. The gown truly captures Grace's elegant and "subtle sultry" style. Taking notice of the movie details, Robert Best captures the blue gown perfectly, in precise detail, down to the lack of jewelry and nail polish, styling her blonde hair in a chic upswept chignon.
The doll does not have any underwear, just the gown itself and blue strapped plastic heels. While the blue gown unsnaps and appears removable, the shoulder train and strap are glued to the doll's shoulder and if removed would disrupt the way the gown hangs.

The doll was loose in the box when I got her so obviously she has been out of the box. I see no issues, she is clean, apparently not played with but likely displayed and put back in the box. I have secured her in place, maybe the gown not placed exactly right on the doll, but truly she is beautiful.
The box is not perfect and has minor wear consistent with shelf wear and its age. The clear plastic cover has scratches here and there. It is still in very good condition, no rips or tears, see pics and zoom in. If you need perfect, please don't buy.
