This beautiful doll is an M & S Shillman toddler doll, which was made between 1924-1930, making her approximately 94 years old at the time of this writing. She measures approximately 20” tall and is marked M&S on the back of her neck. She has a composition flange head, composition ¾ arms and legs, and a cloth stuffed body. She has dark brown molded wavy hair, painted single-stroke brown eyebrows, beautiful blue eyes with real eyelashes on top and painted eyelashes on the bottom, puffy rosy cheeks, a little button nose, an open mouth with red lips and two upper teeth and her tongue showing. Her cloth body is in very good condition with very few stains. She does have a paint(?) stain on the inside of her right leg where I believe she was previously repainted. Her composition is in fairly good condition, but does have crazing on her face, neck, and legs, a scuff on the back of her neck, dimpling on her right hand/fingers, and paint loss on her head. She comes wearing a new outfit to include a beautiful white sheer embroidered dress with matching slip, white lacy bloomers, white lace adorned coat with matching bonnet, white lacy knit socks, and a pair of white lace-up shoes to complete her outfit.
