In
this listing we have a really nice Barbie doll head. This doll head
was released by Mattel as part of the Barbie Collector line and was
part of the BMR1959 series. This doll is from the first wave and is
super pretty. This doll head uses the closed mouth Millie face mold.
She has two toned blonde and light brown hair that is straight at the
top of the hair and curly in the back, lovely blue eyes, and neutral
pink colored lips. This doll head was made in Indonesia. My pictures
came out a little saturated, the colors are a bit more muted in
person. This
doll head is in good shape. It has never been played with and was
just removed from the box after being displayed in the box. It does
have some factory related issues. The doll’s hair is in good shape.
It did get a little mussed from taking her out of the box. She could
use a light refresher. The doll’s curls are a little sloppy. They
could stand to be cleaned up. They were messy in the box. They are
also a little flattened from being in the box. The doll’s hair is a
bit thin at the part line. It’s not terrible, but in some spots you
can see the doll’s scalp and under rows of hair through the top
layer of hair. There are several ends of plastic ties in the doll’s
hair. I pushed them into the head as much as I could, but you can
still feel them and they are a little pointy. The doll’s face paint
looks good. The doll’s eyes and eyebrows are a little uneven with
one side a little bigger than the other. The right eye and eyebrow
are bigger compared to the left side. On the inside of both eyes the
white eye paint is a little thin in a spot. It’s hard to see, but
when looking closely at the eyes you can see the doll’s skin tone
through the eye paint. The doll’s lips are in good shape. In a
couple of spots there is some thin areas. It’s very minor, but in
some spots you can see the doll’s skin tone through the lip paint.
On the underside of the doll’s chin there’s some small black
marks. I’m not sure if this is staining or something in the vinyl.
It’s hard to see, but you can see it when looking for it. The
doll’s face has a mostly matte finish, but in some areas there’s
there’s little reflective lines on the doll’s face. I’ve seen
this a lot from Mattel dolls. You can really only see them when the
light catches off of them and reflects the light. The doll’s neck
rim looks good. The outer neck rim looks good. There are some notches
on the inside of the internal neck rim, this is very common on dolls.
It looks fine, but I would be careful with it since it could be a
delicate area in the vinyl. Please examine all pictures to see the
exact condition of this doll head and please keep in mind some issues
are more visible in person compared to pictures. Please
feel free to contact me with any questions you may have regarding
this item. Thank
you and have a great day!
