In
this listing we have a really nice replacement doll body. This doll
body was released by Mattel as part of the BTS doll line and came
from the Idol play line series. This line was the same as the
collector line, but the hands aren’t posed. This doll body has a
pale skin tone and is articulated at the neck, shoulders, elbows,
wrists, hips, knees, and ankles. I believe this body is the same one
used for the second release of the Monster High boy dolls. This doll
body was made in China. My pictures came out a little saturated, the
colors are a little more muted in person. My camera did not capture
his skin tone very well. It’s a very light pink skin tone. This
doll body is in good shape. It has never been played with and was
just removed from the box. It does have some factory issues though.
The doll’s neck knob is in good shape. It has some stress marks to
it from taking off the original head, most of them are at the top of
the post though so it shouldn’t cause any looseness to a head.
There is some slight warping to the anchors on top of the neck knob.
This won’t effect putting a new head on the body, but could make it
slightly trickier taking a head off the body. The doll’s torso is
in good shape. There are some small scratches and scuffs here and
there to the hard plastic. There are a few small indents, randomly
placed, on the front torso around the chest. On the right pec there’s
a circular indent in the plastic. It’s hard to see, but you can see
it when looking up close at the body in the light. On the back of the
neck there is a small scratch going down the doll’s neck. The
doll’s side seams and neck/shoulder seams are a little raised in a
couple of spots. There is also some excess plastic along some of the
seams. The doll’s arms look okay. The upper arm, lower arm, and
hands all have seam lines and mold injection spots. There are some
small indents and small gouges to the plastic of the upper arm. These
are mostly around the shoulder area. The arms are too big at the
shoulders. This means that in some poses, mostly when the arms are
away from the sides, the hard plastic torso cuts into the softer arm
plastic. There are some indents to the arms where I tested this out.
This will get worse over time with use. I’ve been seeing this a lot
from Mattel dolls. On the outside of the upper arm at the elbow there
is some slightly warped plastic along the edge. The plastic has a
little lip around that edge. There are some faint molded in lines to
the lower arms. On the outside of the lower arms at the elbow joint,
there is a small divot on the left side and a small divot with some
excess plastic on the right side. It looks like they were trimming
off some excess plastic at the factory and they trimmed it a little
too deeply, but didn’t get everything. The doll’s legs look good.
The upper leg, the lower leg, and the feet all have seam lines and
mold injection spots. There’s a fair amount of molded in lines to
the upper legs around the hips. There is also some molded in lines to
the lower legs. It’s hard to see in person and in pictures, but
there are some faint gray staining all over the legs, I assume from
the outfit. It’s on the front and back of the upper leg and lower
leg, and some at the ankles. Please examine all pictures to see the
exact condition of this doll body and please keep in mind some issues
are more visible in person compared to pictures. This
listing is for the doll body alone, the metal stand shown is not
included. Please
