In this
listing we have a really cool doll outfit and figurine. This doll
outfit was released by Mattel as part of the short lived Hello Kitty
and Friends line and originally came with their Jazzlyn doll. You
will get everything the doll was wearing and her little figurine of
Badtz-Maru. This outfit consists of a black crop top sleeveless
t-shirt with yellow contrast stitching and a triangle shaped cut out,
a purple plaid skirted overalls with white ribbons straps and an
attached vinyl skirt overlay featuring the image of Badtz-Maru,
stars, crowns, lighting bolts, Os, Xs, pizza, and hearts, a yellow
plastic belt with molded in details, a yellow plastic set of
earphones/headband with molded in details, a pair of large clear
purple plastic sneakers with embedded silver glitter, and a super
cute little Badtz-Maru figurine. These clothing pieces are designed
to fit the Hello Kitty and Friends doll body and will fit similar
sized dolls. The Badtz-Maru figurine stands around 2.5 inches tall at
the tallest. The skirt and shirt close in the back with Velcro, the
belt has a post and hoop molded in to close at the doll’s waist,
and the shoes have a slit in the back to go on the doll’s feet.
This outfit was made in China. My pictures came out a little
saturated, the colors are a bit more muted in person. This
outfit is in good shape. It has never been played with and was just
taken off a just removed from the box doll. It does have some factory
issues. The doll’s shirt looks good. It does have some excess
threads at the back where the Velcro is sewn on and at the top and
bottom of the side seams at the arm holes and the bottom of the
shirt. I will mention that nothing on this shirt is hemmed. There is
top-stitching around the neck and the sleeves, but they aren’t
hemmed. It does feel like there is some glue at the edges of the
shirt (including the triangle keyhole in the front), but if that
fails the shirt could fray. Some of the edges look a little ragged.
It’s very minor, but in a couple of spots it looks like they didn’t
cut out the fabric as crisply as they could have. The side seams are
a little uneven with one side a little bit longer than the other. The
skirt looks good. There are some excess threads in the back where the
Velcro is sewn on. There is also some excess threads and sloppy
stitching on the right side of the top hem of the skirt where the
overall bib is sewn to the skirt itself. The vinyl is unhemmed and so
is the skirt itself. The skirt doesn’t have anything on the edges,
so I would be careful with fraying. The edges of the skirt are a
little ragged, they also didn’t cut them out as perfectly as they
could have. The bib part is a little uneven. It’s not a perfect
rectangle, some spots the fabric goes inward slightly. This is most
obvious on the (doll’s) upper right side. The purple fabric has a
white base where the color was printed on top. In some areas where
the fabric was folded and stitched the fabric is a little stretched
and the white underside shows through the front. This is most obvious
at the right and left sides of the bib. The belt looks good. It does
have seam lines and mold injection spots, but they all will have
that. There is some excess plastic along some of the seam lines. The
plastic feels a little stiff. I would be careful since it could be
easy to bend, warp, or even break some of the thinner parts by
accident. I would be very careful with the loop in the back since it
has to stretch to go over the post. It might not hold up well to lots
of play and could break over time. The headband looks good. It also
has seam lines and mold injection spots. On the sides on the band
above the ear part there are two small holes in the plastic. This is
where it was plastic tabbed to the doll’s head. The holes are
intentional and all of the headbands will have them. The plastic is
also a harder plastic and it could be easy to bend and warp it by
accident. I would be very careful about the crown on top. The shoes
are in good shape. They also have seam lines and mold injection
spots. The shoes also have a slightly sticky feeling to them. I’m
not sure if that’s just the kind of material they are made of or
they will go stickier over time. They just feel slightly tacky. They
might get worse over time. I do not know for certain. The Badtz-Maru
figurine is in good shape. It does have seam lines and mold injection
spots. There are some small scratches here and there to the figurine.
The paint application is a bit sloppy, but it’s also a bit thin.
This is most obvious to his eyes and feet, but the paint is so sheer
that the black plastic is somewhat visible through the paint. Please
examine all pictures to see the exact condition of this outfit and
please keep in mind some issues are more visible in person compared
to pictures. Please
