This is a Mrs Beasely Reproduction from 2000, produced by Collectible Concepts Corp and made in China. A reminder of the 1960's show "Family Affair" in which Mrs Beasley was the best friend of Buffy, the youngest child in the family. This doll is in Mint shape and has mainly been on display and never played with. She still has her glasses, and she still has her wrist tag with information about Cheryl Ladd whose voice is used for various phrases when Mrs Beasley's string is pulled in the back. She still speaks very clearly as she has rarely been used. The voice box is located in her back and it has a zipper where it is located. She measures 20 inches from head to toe, Phrases include: "Do you want to play?" "Would you like to try on my glasses? You may if you wish." "It would be such fun to play jump rope. Don't you think?" "Long ago, I was a little girl, just like you!" "If you could have 3 wishes, what would you wish for?" "If you were a little smaller, I could rock you to sleep." "Do you want to hear a secret? I know one." "Speak a little louder dear so Mrs, Beasley can hear you." "You may call me Mrs. Beasley. Would you like to play?" "Gracious me! You're getting to be such a big girl!" "I do think you're the nicest little friend I've ever had!" This is a very nice addition for a collection. The tag specifically says "this is not a toy" as it is a collector item. However, I see no reason for it not to be a toy as the tag also says, "not recommended for children under 8 years of age." This doll is pristine, and from a smoke free and pet free environment.
