This is an original Ideal Shirley Temple Playpal, circa 1959. Marked on the back of her head is IDEAL DOLL ST 35 38-2. On her back in a circle is IDEAL. She stands approx. (36") tall. Her hair is thick and curly, missing no plugs. Her face is cute and clean. Her eyes open and close and she has full eyelashes. Her left eyebrow is faded and someone has lightly penciled in another. It should come off if desired. Her body and limbs are very nice with no cracks, breaks or scuffs. She is strung well, however, her head tends to go forward. There is a flat spot on the bottom of the neck where it enters the body and it appears that someone has attempted to repair the hook on the inside. The hook is solid. The plastic bar inside the body is missing. She comes with a period dress that is not original. It is in very nice condition. Please see photos. She is a beautiful doll that needs a good home.
