This vintage Queen Elizabeth sailor boy plush doll by Empire was made in 1963 or earlier. The approximately 8.5 inch doll includes the sailor boy outfit with the name Queen Elizabeth on the brim of its hat and a red and white life saving ring (also referred to as a life preserver). This doll and life saving ring has a special vintage value and unique character that make it a great addition to any collection. Note that this doll and life-saving ring is from the FIRST Queen Elizabeth passenger liner NOT the Queen Elizabeth 2. This doll is in very good condition, particularly considering its age and will be a great addition for anyone who collects vintage dolls. Doll measures about 8.5 inches and has a hard fabric face with plush body. Red & White Life Saving Ring is hard and measures about 4.5 inches in diameter. Don’t know for certain but have read that these dolls were given to the children of the guests of the Cunard Line with each ship in the Cunard Line giving away dolls with the name of the ship on the doll. The Life Saving Ring has a handwritten date of September 1963, which is probably the date the doll was sold or given to a guest. Please see pictures for condition and size.
