This is a 30” Simon & Halbig doll with a bisque head on a composition body. Her head is stamped “1248 // Germany // SIMON & HALBIG // S & H”. Her bisque head is beautiful with no cracks, chips, rubs or scuffs; her face is pristine. She has medium brown feathered brows, finely painted black lashes, glass blue big sleep eyes and pierced ears. She has an open bow shaped smiling mouth with 4 upper teeth and signature darker orange spot on her lower lip known for Santa series dolls. She has bright pinky cheeks that lead right down to her adorable dimpled double chin. She has the original human hair wig. Her body is jointed at the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips and knees. Her body is discolored and does have cracks and chips. She seems to be mostly still tightly strung; she poses pretty well but has trouble sitting upright. She is wearing a white dress with detachable collar, slip, pantaloons, socks and shoes. She also has a crocheted headdress. Clothes are in good condition other than holes in the collar. She was owned by a doll collector and was displayed in a cabinet behind glass in an airconditioned room in a smoke free home.
