What a beautiful doll for collectors of international dolls! This is a rare vintage "Japan" doll that was sold in the gift shop of the United Nations in the 1970s as part of the International Brides series.
Manufactured by the Standard Doll Company of Long Island, she stands 7.5 inches tall. She wears an flowered headdress over dark hair. The headdress is stitched in place and has never been removed. Her lovely face is highlighted by brown eyes.
The doll wears a cream colored kimono trimmed in gold. Her obi is red, trimmed in cream and gold. She wears white plastic slippers.
Please note that the gold trim at the hem of her dress is frayed. Please check photos carefully.
