This is a new in box Schildkrot Puppen Inge Doll Klassik Collektion. The doll is in excellent condition and seems to have never been removed from the box. Dimensions are written on the shoe of the doll and reads 47 cm but appears to measure closer to approximately 17 inches tall.
Schildkröt Puppen und Spielwaren GmbH is a German company that has been producing dolls since 1896. The company was originally called “Rheinische Gummi- und Celluloidwarenfabrik” (Rhenish Rubber and Celluloid Works) and was founded in 1873. The company began making dolls again in Rauenstein near Sonneberg using original molds. The name “Schildkröt” means turtle in German.
