Schneider Porcelain 12” Folklore Bavarian Doll. Edition Number: 3001/1
Beautiful 12” porcelain doll with soft cloth body and hand painted face with real, long eyelashes, blue eyes, peach lips & rosy pink cheeks. Her golden blonde braids are tied with burgundy bows.
The black felt headdress is exquisitely embroidered with gold threads outlining blue grapes & 2-toned green leaves. Ribbons of burgundy & navy blue hang from each side.
The elaborate & exquisitely crafted costume is of a burgundy damask decorated with a delicate floral pattern. The skirt is bordered with a blue jacquard ribbon embroidered with grape leaves & the hem is edged in black piping. The lace collar matches the lace edging the puffed sleeves. The white eyelet apron has a double grape selvage.
Under the full skirt are one lace-trimmed cotton petticoat, one lace-trimmed crinoline, lace-trimmed pantaloons & white knit stockings. The shoes are old-fashioned black leather high tops with a snap closure. She carries a basket of grapes.
