This is a new in the box Birimbo baby doll, made in Italy in 1979. It's an estate find. The doll has been removed from the box to photograph and is in excellent condition--no wear to the doll, but the box shows wear--the plastic window is somewhat rippled and has a dusty film, and is partially separated from the cardboard at the top....that can be re-glued and I'm leaving it to the new owner to decide whether to do that or not. The cardboard graphics are still good, but it shows wear and has a small tear at the top front just above the acetate window. It's still sturdy. The adorable baby doll has sleep eyes that work fine. She drinks and wets, and is wearing a diaper, with a spare and her bottle in a small plastic bag (see photos). The graphics wording is in Italian, with some English translation on the top flap. I do not know if the packaging is 100% complete. She wears a corded necklace with plastic Birimbo medallion pendant--the cord is raveled at the ends. She's very clean and nice, no odors, and appears unplayed with. I do not know if this doll is anatomically correct, and if so, whether it is a boy or girl--I didn't want to risk damaging the diaper by untying it. It's hard to find one of these within the US--most of the (few) being offered on Pricetronic are from European sellers, so if you are a US collector, shipping from me will be much less expensive. ;-)
