ALEX is an original issue of the so truly real vinyl doll designed by master doll artist Linda Webb. ALEX is issued only by the Ashton Drake Galleries. Upon the retirement of this issue no more of this Edition of ALEX will ever be produced. Once the Edition is retired it will never be reopened. Linda Webb is one of the most respected of today's doll crafters. Her original pieces sell for thousands of dollars and the waiting list for her true works of art stretches for years. She once said that the desire to create life like infants came after the birth of her son. "I knew photographs and memories would not be enough to hold the image in my heart. My desire to create realism has taken me to nurseries, hospitals and museums." She made special friends along the way with doctors, collectors, and the parents of newborns.
