In
this listing we have a TLC vintage Barbie doll. This doll is a
vintage Bubblecut Barbie doll and was released by Mattel in the
1960s. She has the larger hair so she a newer doll. This doll has
golden blonde hair, large blue side glancing eyes, and was made in
Japan. She is marked with Japan in the larger font along the bottom
of one foot. This doll is articulated at the neck, shoulders, and
hips. My pictures came out a little saturated, the colors are a bit
more muted in person. This doll is in TLC shape. She still has some life left in her,
but she does have a lot of issues. I have washed the doll, but she
could use a more in depth cleaning. The head has a near tear, so I
removed it from the body. The doll’s hair is in fair shape. It is a
little messy and will need some styling help. I don’t think it has
been cut, but there are some short strands here and there. The top
layers of hair have a brassier color compared to the under sections
of hair. The doll does have a bald spot at the top of the hair where
the hair has parted. The doll’s face paint is in rough shape. The
doll’s eyebrows are pretty much entirely missing. She has the faint
outline of the left brow and the start showing on the right side. The
doll’s eyes are in better shape. She is missing a lot of paint to
her eyelash ridge, both on the ridge and on the top of the ridge. She
has a few small chips and paint issues to both eyes, but they’re
not super obvious other than when looking up close. The doll’s lips
are missing. She has the tiniest spots of white lip paint, but they
are pretty much all gone. The doll has a larger neck tear on the left
side of the head. It looks like there was an attempted repair with
some glue, but it didn’t work. There is some hard white residue
around the tear. When you press the tear together it mostly lines up,
but the white residue doesn’t let it close fully. The head is a
little warped on that side from how it was posed on the body for a
while. The head has a bunch of earring holes at each ear. They are
clustered around together. They do look to have the tiniest touch of
green at the ears. The doll’s body is in mostly fair shape. The
doll’s torso is in good shape. It does have some scratches and
scuffs to the body. Some of them are deeper and more obvious. There
is some deeper ones at the front of the neck, especially where it
meets the torso. There are some dark marks here and there on the
torso. The doll’s arms are in TLC shape. She is missing the right
pinkie finger. Both hands look slightly chewed. There’s a lot of
little scratches and scuffs to both arms with some dark marks here
there. Not sure what is stuck on dirt and what is stains. The doll
has around 50 percent of the nail polish, the right hand is more worn
compared to the left hand. The doll’s legs are in good shape. They
are darker than the rest of the body. There is a fair amount of
trapped dirt on them. I’m not sure how much is stuck on dirt
compared to stains. There are some scratches and scuffs to the legs.
Some are more obvious than others. There’s a large gouge to the
side of the right foot near the ankle. There’s a lot of horizontal
lines with trapped dirt in them all over the legs. The legs go
slightly in at the ankles. One foot is longer than the other. It’s
missing pretty much all of the nail polish on the feet The legs have
a very matte finish to them, the bottoms of the feet are shinier.
Please examine all pictures to see the exact condition of this doll
and please keep in mind some issues are more visible in person
compared to pictures. This listing is for the nude doll alone, the stand shown is not
included. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have
regarding this item. Thank you and have a great day!
