VERENA by Sonja Hartmann Articulated Porcelain Doll w/Soft Lower Body

Adorable artist doll Verena by Sonja Hartmann - porcelain articulated poseable girl doll. This doll is marked on the back of her head (pictured) as Sonja Hartmann Originals, limited edition #38 of 250. The doll was made in West Germany as stated on her tag-necklace. Her original price was above $1000. Verena has a swivel porcelain head, impressive human hair wig, big blue glass eyes, cute facial features. Her upper torso is porcelain, with porcelain arms and legs, jointed wrists, hips and knees. Its unique design with 10 ball joints allows you to pose her any way you like. This doll can be in standing or sitting position. Her lower torso is soft, made of cloth. She is in very impressive, close to excellent condition, with only small signs of age and handling. She has a cute nose, rosy cheeks and a closed smile with peach lips. Her original dress is made of a peach satin. Over this dress, Verena wears a white cotton pinafore with embroidered little peach flowers with green leaves. Under her dress, Verena has on a white cotton t shirt and white cotton pantaloons edged with lace that end right at her jointed knees. To complete her ensemble Verena wears white cotton knit socks under white leather shoes. Verena comes with her original tag, white metal stand and an original long (27") sturdy doll box with artist name and brand (pictured). The box shows some discoloration, old tape and minimal marking, but serves good to keep the doll safely packaged. The doll itself is approximately 20" tall and made mainly of durable heavy porcelain, hence - shipping cost of this doll in her original packaging would not be inexpensive.
