DESCRIPTION: Vintage 1930’s Teenage Judy Garland Composition 21” Ideal Doll.
Twenty - one inch, teenage Judy is all composition, jointed at the neck, shoulders and hips, with clear brown sleep eyes, all brush lashes, light eye shadow, painted lower lashes, feathered brows, subtle cheek blush, open smiling mouth showing six upper teeth, and tongue. Dark brunette human hair wig appears to be in a decent re-set - held in place with a hair net. Strung tightly - she can stand and pose. Very good fingers and toes with out repairs. Wearing a factory made gown (probably not original) with attached slip, animal print "fur" trimmed faux "fur" cape, white cotton panties, vintage socks and gold, center snap T strap shoes. At her waist and in her hair, vintage paper flowers.
CONDITION:
Good lightly restored/nearly original condition. Composition has light crazing with cracks at inner, upper thighs otherwise free of chips, lifting or flaking paint. Strung tightly - she can stand and pose. Very good fingers and toes without repairs. Head is marked correctly - the picture of her head mark is poor. Costume is factory made but not tagged. Clothing has not been laundered lately and appears to never have been laundered. Dress has age darkening. Fabric is quite stiff/crisp. It has original working buttons with good button holes. Underwear has age darkening. Vintage shoes have good working center snaps. One shoe has a dent/crushed area on the toe of the sole - other sole is good. Socks are vintage and age soiled. MARKED: Ideal doll Made in USA on her head and Ideal Doll backwards 21 on her back, Will ship Ground Advantage Mail at about 3 1/2 lb.
