ITEM DESCRIPTION:  Vintage 1950's Amer Character 8" Betsy McCall Doll in Original Costume; Dress and Undies Cute vintage blue eyed, golden blonde 8" Betsy McCall doll with pretty facial paint, synthetic wig, with barrettes , sleep eyes with molded lashes, painted lower lashes, eyebrows, lips and brightly blushed cheeks. Good condition torso, legs and arms. Perfect fingers. Made of hard plastic and jointed at the neck, shoulders hips and knees. Marked in a circle on her lower back. She is wearing an original blue polka dot dress with white trim and large red bow. Closes with two snaps. Underneath, her original matching undies. On her feet, thin socks and red  side button shoes - both straps are in good condition. Her shoes and socks appear to be recent made Tonner reproductions. CONDITION:
Good played with condition. Face paint is good and original. Clear, working sleep eyes with molded lashes. Wig is thick and in original set with two barrettes. Perfect fingers and toes. Head is on tightly and arms are on the loose side. Her hip and knee joints are very loose and she cannot stand alone. She does not have a crotch split but she does have several small knee cracks (pictured) I don't have a stand for her. Skin surface is clean and even-toned. No seam splits, bites, or large stains . Dress is in good played with condition with working closures but dress has some fading of the blue color and soiling of the white trim. Red bow looks to be original. Panties have some soiling of the white trim. Dress and panties appear never laundered. Shoes and socks are newer Tonner made reproductions. MARK: American Character. MEASUREMENTS: 8" tall.
