Vintage 1950s Original Sweet Sue Doll With Stand

Description: Please check out all my listings. All items come from a smoke and pet free home. I am happy to safely combine shipping wherever possible. This item belongs to my mother, and she took it to a doll expert in Indianapolis, IN cleaned up the doll, but a fellow Pricetronicer emailed me and told me this is an Original Sweet Sue Doll from the mid 1950s. My mother also spent more than what we are asking for this doll having her clean up, so we think we are letting it go at a bargin price.  We mistakenly thought it was a Madame Alexander.  We also thought it was made of porcelain , but it is more than likely celluloid and has a smooth feel to the surface.  We really don't know much about any dolls.  My mom just liked her.  The doll is not marked and as I understand the e manufacturer didn't mark all the items made.  The expert cleaned her up and made her presentable.  The arms need to be reattached to the body as my mother didn't want to pay the fee due to the fact the arms stayed secure inside the dress.  On close observation , it appears to me that one could reattached the arms using a crochet hook or something similar.  I noticed some rubber bands and did the best I could to photograph both arm sockets.  I suppose there would be some fishing around and it probably takes some practice to do it quickly.  The doll measures between 14 and 15 inches and it appears to be porcelain to me, but I am not sure, it could be something else.  Her eyes close when she is placed on her back.  She has both shoes, and the dress is original.  She also comes on a stand.  Please take a good look at the photos and feel free to ask questions.  Price reflects the reattachment of the arms.  I can find no visible cracks or chips and there are no signs of excessive wear or abuse. This item will ship safely USPS Priority Mail.  I will wrap her several times in bubble wrap and ship her in an appropriately sized box.  I will use shipping paper to prevent shifting during shipping. I can not make refunds for any item that may be lost or damaged by the carrier. Payment: I expect payment within 24 hours after an auction closes and immediately after an item is purchased now unless I accept reasonable arrangements. I understand special circumstances and reasonable arrangements will be accepted. Shipping Rules: I try to get process orders to be shipped immediately after payment is verified. Unless prior arrangements are made, all items will be shipped USPS. I practice safe shipping and take all reaso n able precautions to be sure nothing is damaged during shipping. With respect to boxes and packing supplies , I like to reuse them when ever possible to keep costs low. I do not charge for recycling and its good for the environment. I do not charge for combined shipping. I only charge the cost of the label and a few dollars for supplies. If disputed or ignored , I will refund any amount paid and relist the item after three business days . I am always happy to combine shipping when it is safe to do so.
