Vintage 1966 Deluxe Reading Suzy Homemaker Beauty Parlor Doll Dress Underpants.
1966 Deluxe Reading Suzy Homemaker Beauty Parlor doll, 22 inches tall with short rooted ash blonde hair, blue sleep eyes, and brush lashes. The doll has a soft vinyl swivel head that responds to the pull of a magnet, and a hard plastic body with jointed hips and knees enabling it to sit in the beauty parlor chair that was originally sold with the doll (not included in this listing). Flat feet. Suzy has a slight smile with visible teeth.
Marking on nape: 2 K7 1966 Deluxe Reading Corp
Attired in a vintage cotton Suzy Homemaker dress in yellow and red polka dots with puffed sleeves, pearlized buttons in front and snaps down the back, and original white cotton knit underwear (this version of Suzy originally came with a red and white dress). Satin red hair bow included (vintage but not original).
Condition: Hair and face paint are very good. Doll’s left eye is intermittently droopy and there’s a chip to left eyelash. Both eyes are slightly cloudy. All limbs are operating as normal. Vinyl arms are a shade darker than torso and legs, and have grime and marks we couldn’t remove with cleaning. Doll is clean, dress is clean and pressed and has one fleck of a stain on back. White underpants are yellowed and while the elastic at waist is still good, there is grime on leg edges from play and storage.
