Vintage Barbie KEN A Go Go Complete Set #1423 with Doll Exc Rare VHTF

Ken A Go Go #1423 was available 1966-1967. "Beatlemania" inspired Ken to try out his first "solo in the spotlight". The outfit featured gold zippered slacks and a retro style multi-color red/blue/yellow stripe shirt with red collar, sleeves and backing,it has a couple stitches that were mended in one arm seam, not visible on display. It has all its front faux buttons with an extra on the side! Snap closure. Red socks and white tennis shoes completed the clothing ensemble, and they are in great condition. Accessories included the orange guitar with the added black strap, someone glued the strap in the guitar, And an adjustable gray plastic microphone like the one found in Barbie's Solo in the Spotlight #982 and a cool fur black wig.
Ken has a few head rubs that someone retouched. Please see photos, otherwise he is in great shape. Arms and legs hold a pose when he sings with his microphone 😁
The set is considered antique and has a retro vibe, perfect for those who love the time period of the 1960s. This is an original set, not a licensed reproduction. This is a perfect addition to your Ken Collection !
