Click images to enlarge Description Vintage EXCELLENT USED CONDITION Buddy Lee HARD PLASTIC Railroad Engineer Doll Union Made Denim Overalls & Cap Actual date estimated around 1951?? PLEASE NOTE: THIS ITEM WILL REQUIRE A SIGNATURE CONFIRMATION BEFORE UPS WILL LEAVE PACKAGE! This Buddy Lee doll was a promotional item for Lee Jeans from 1920 till 1962 when they were discontinued. These dolls were made for the H. D. Company, the makers of Lee jeans, and they are marked “Buddy Lee” on the back of each doll. The earlier doll versions were composition dolls and then in 1949 Buddy Lee was produced as a 13” hard plastic doll. This doll is the 13” tall hard plastic version. This doll is wearing the original Union Made Work Dark Blue Overalls with Lee tag on the back, with matching Dark Blue Denim Shirt, Lee Union Made Label Dark Blue Denim Cap and a Red “Thrilling, Explosive Action” Bandanna/Kerchief tied around this neck. NOTE: THE RULER IS NOT INCLUDED ONLY FOR SIZE REFERENCE IN PICTURE! CONDITION NOTES: Doll has shows only minor wear with age. It appears to have NEVER BEEN PLAYED WITH AND ONLY DISPLAYED. HE DOES HAVE BLEMISHES/SCUFF MARKS. HE HAS SOME PAINT LOSS ON THE BACK OF HIS HAIR, AND ON THE UNDERSIDE OF HIS BOOTS. This does not affect/show when displayed standing. Doll Clothes are in good shape. THEY HAVE SOME MINOR FRAYING AND DUST FROM DISPLAY. THE BIGGEST FLAW IS THAT THERE ARE A COUPLE OF GREEN MARKS ON THE DENIM SHIRT FROM THE METAL ON THE OVERALLS. No fading of the denim. Shirt Button and Overall Snaps in great shape. NO SMOKE OR MUSTY ODORS. PLEASE CHECK OUT ALL PICTURES BEFORE PURCHASING.
