Vintage Doll Robin Woods Chris Miller 15” Betsy LTD ED. 1988

BETSY 15" DOLL LTD EDITION 460/150 ARTISTS ROBIN WOODS AND CRIS MILLER 1988 VINTAGE This spectacular doll was created by renowned artists Woods and Miller. The pride of workmanship is easily evident in  every aspect of this doll.  Betsy is meticulously designed with intricately detailed clothes. She has long, waist length, curled hair, with wispy bangs, framing her beautiful hand painted face.  Betsy is definitely a statement piece doll dressed in an amazing four layered dress that consist of four separate skirts, each a bit longer the previous one.  The first layer offers a bib fan front, with black zig zag trim, on a red and white checkered fabric with a ruffled hemline. The center panel is a vividly colored garland of fruits and vegetables, also outlined in black trim.  The next layer is a contrasting black and white checkered fabric with black zig zag trim.  This is also used on the bodice which boasts large, white cotton, embroidered, eyeletted cuffs and collar. The third layer is solid, deep barn red, with a ruffled hemline.  And the final layer is the fruit pattern with a ruffled hem.  Betsy has white full length, lace trimmed petticoats and tights tucked into bright red patten leather shoes.  On her head she is a deep green bonnet with a very large red checkered brim enhanced with black zig-zap trim.  It is tied under her chin with a large black ribbon bow with streamers. Besty is a highly collectible doll that will make a meaningful addition to any collection.  She is sure to elicit many compliments and look amazing wherever she may be displayed. I have carefully inspected the Betsy doll and find it to be in excellent condition.    All the clothes are fresh and clean without stains, tears, or fading. There are no or missing pieces or damage to the doll itself.
