JAPANESE ASIAN 16" GEISHA GIRL DOLL FIGURINE KIMONO HEADDRESS GLASS DISPLAY CASE VTG Up for your consideration is Extremely Beautiful Vintage Japanese Geisha Girl Doll with Glass Display Case. A Very RARE find in near mint condition that will make a stunning addition to your collection. You can tell she is made of high quality materials and was assembled with skill by a master craftsman. She is dressed in a traditional red kimono made with incredible detail and on top her perfectly styled hair is a fabulous round hat in black with gold foil accents. Her delicate facial features are hand painted and her deep dark eyes are made of glass giving her a life-like glance. Her face is a different material than her hands and possibly made of crushed oyster shells but we are not certain. Behind her head lays a long branch made of wrapped wire with faux brown leaves a long flowing white paper flowers that she holds onto with both hands. This arrangement is believed to ward off evil in Japanese culture. She comes with a large wood and glass display case to keep the dust off of her that has a lovely golden yellow background and floor which accentuates the colors of her kimono nicely.
