Vintage Hanako Doll with Six Wigs in Orig. Wood Box, Geisha, circa 1950s

Very nice, vintage dainty Hanako Doll, made in Japan, in original wooden box with all six wigs in original tissue. Doll comes in original kimono and original stand. Doll measures 7 in. tall. Box measures about 8 x 7 x 2. Box
has crack on the back (see pictures) but doll (is she a Geisha?) is lovely. Front label is a little faded (see pic).
I bought this several decades ago at the estate sale of a World War II veteran in Akron, Ohio. It’s an unusual boxed doll and I’ve never seen another like it at Akron-area estate sales since.
I believe she dates from the early 1950s (but possibly earlier). The doll was perhaps a souvenir to a sweetheart back in Akron. I don't know the inside story of how the doll got to Akron but the condition suggests that she was lovingly kept by the owner. I never displayed it, just kept it in the box.
What makes it even better a portion of the proceeds of this sale goes to the Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank, which serves hungry families in Northeast Ohio. This would make a lovely gift for any doll collector or anyone who understands the romance of the 20th century.
