Vintage Alexander Doll Co.' s Marybel doll, " The Doll That Gets Well
", as pictured.
The doll shows some wear from age. The original bands holding her together have deteriorated. I've quickly attached her legs/hips and arms/torso with rubber bands, but she'll definitely need a more-skillful & proficient repair. She has some smudges & dust on her which can definitely be cleaned up -- I gave her a cursory cleaning, a magic eraser & some soapy water seems to do the trick.
Includes the pictured accessories: 2 pieces of the leg casts; 2 pieces of the arm casts; 2 crutches (altho I forgot to include them in the first photo); and 2 "little blue things", along with some vintage bandages and adhesive tape. The arm/leg cast pieces fit nicely around her limbs, but they don't have any mechanism of hooking together -- I'm not sure if they're damaged or if they're manufactured this way. One of the leg cast pieces has cracked where it fits around her toe, which you can see int he photos. Includes an undergarment, which has stains/discolorations -- unknown to what extent it can be cleaned up.
The original "travel case" is intact but showing moderate wear from age/play/storage: there's a tear along the top flap (near the latch) and fraying along the corners & edges. Some creasing & bending throughout. Vinyl socket head; sleep eyes; back of head marked: " © Mme Alexander".
