This chubby cheeked little
doll is a Vogue Baby Dear baby doll, which was made in the 1960s, making her
approximately 60 years old at the time of this writing. She measures approximately
12 inches tall and is marked ©1960 E. Wilkins in extremely small print on the back of her left upper
thigh and her Vogue tag at the back of her neck. She has a swivel vinyl head, ¾ arms and legs,
cloth stuffed body, rooted strawberry brown hair, little squinty painted periwinkle-blue
eyes, a little button nose, big puffy cheeks, and a closed mouth with pinkish
color lips. She is in good condition
with fingers and toes intact. Her cloth
body has age-related stains and her stuffing has become a little compacted. She also has rubs and scuffs here and there,
as well as thinning hair, pen(?) marks on her arms and legs, and her vinyl could
use a good cleaning. She comes wearing a
beautiful yellow hand crocheted romper with matching bonnet, white knit socks,
a “Baby Dear” bracelet, and a replacement Baby Dear wrist tag to complete her
outfit. She also comes with a yellow
crochet blanket, 1 blue clothes hanger, 5 additional little outfits, a light
blue nightgown with white and pink at the chest, a pair of dark pink crochet
booties, a pair of blue crochet booties, white crochet booties, white lacy
socks, two pairs of white knit socks, baby doll toys, a baby doll diaper, a
baby bottle, and Little Golden Book “The New Baby” book. Also included is a 1950s Margaret Holbrook
Lamb/Bunny/Chick carry case to store all her outfits and accessories. Sold as is; no returns; no
refunds.
