Vintage Ideal Toy Corp. Peter Playpal 38” Doll BE 35-38 with Original Clothes Shoes. I would call it fine condition but please refer to my detailed photos. The plastic head and limbs could use a cleaning and clothing is a little dusty from years of storage. The strings or bands that hold the head and limbs in place are starting to loosen a bit from age but not excessive and very typical for an older vintage large size doll, no parts are loose. If he came with a hat that is the only item I do not have.
Playpal Type Life Sized Companion Dolls 1960's
Ideal’s 1959 Patti playpal doll is a life sized companion doll designed for a child, she has a vinyl head with rooted hair, sleep eyes, a closed mouth, jointed body that was created using the new technology of  blow molded plastic to create.  This technology is what makes her light weight enough for a young child to hold or walk the doll who is the size of a three year old child at 35″ tall.
The American doll companies from 1960 to 1963 were all about making Big dolls.  All the Ideal playpal dolls are well marked,  the 1959 Ideal Patty Playpal non walker doll is marked Ideal Doll Toy Corp. G-35 or B-19-1, 1960-61 Patti Playpal walker doll marked Ideal Doll G 35, the 1960 Ideal Peter Playpal is marked © Ideal Toy Corp. E-35-38.
All the Ideal playpal family of dolls were designed by Neil Estern, a freelance artist, so they could wear real children’s sized clothing.
