18" Horsman Fairy Skin Doll. She was produced in the early 1950s. I believe this was called the Heartbeat doll, as it would have a heart beat when you moved the doll around. There appears to be a little mechanism chamber on the back, but I am not positive that it was for the heartbeat. In any case, this doll has the super soft Fairy Skin, the head and her arms are jointed for motion and posing, her legs are called Super-Flex, they are not jointed but are made to be flexed at the hip. She wears her original outfit. Her nylon dress, first of all, it needs some ironing! It also has some places of wear. There is a tear at an underarm seam. The dress snaps in the back. Underneath that she wears a cotton slip which is sewn closed in the back and under that some knit underpants. Her shoes may be original, I am not certain. They are marked on the bottom: Fairyland and Made in USA. Her hair is thick and full but needs some attention. It has flattened in the back due to her stored position lying on her back. There are two original bobby pins holding her hair back, one on each side. She does have some surface dirt, she needs a bath, but overall she is in good condition. She is a nice example of this doll. No smoking no pet household. Please message me with any questions!
