Vintage Madame Alexander Princess Elizabeth Doll 1930s 1940s

1930s/40s Madame Alexander "Princess Elizabeth" Composition Measures approx. 22 Inches A Beautiful 'Princess Elizabeth' Jointed Composition doll by Madame Alexander. Stamped to back of her head with the maker mark and wearing what looks to be all original clothing, socks and shoes. She is a rare find. Although not perfect and showing signs of age she is in overall lovely condition, and she displays very nicely. She retains her original wig which although looks a little looser than it would have been originally is in its original styling with a good amount of curl left. Her eyes are still a good bright colour and they open and close well when she is lay back/tipped forward. Her make up features are original and still good and strong and although there is some chipping to her closed eyelids, her eyelashes are in tact as are her little teeth. She does have general all over crazing to her composition surface, which looks to have been gently/slightly restored to her face a little so it isn't as obvious as I can see the colouring in the crazing lines are slightly a lighter shade of paint. There are general marks/areas of discoloration/signs of use and wear to her body and to a couple of areas of her upper inner legs there is some patches of paint/surface composition cracked/missing. Her outfit is so pretty and has fared well in condition for its age, though it does have marks and signs of age it is lovely. Shoes are very fragile and showing deterioration. Socks have some holes to them. Please view all images as I have tried to photograph her thoroughly her under very bright lights so that you can see everything. This is a Vintage item and condition is listed as Used. As with all Vintage items they may not be perfect. There may be signs of age, wear and use.
